Obsessive Compulsive Disorder
If you’re reading this, you probably know that OCD can take on a life of its own. My clients are trying their best to keep themselves and their loved ones safe, yet OCD can become incredibly time consuming and take attention away from the very activities and people that matter most.
Having a specialist to help you untangle yourself from obsessive thoughts and compulsions can be essential. The gold standard treatment for OCD is exposure and response prevention (ERP). With ERP treatment, my clients are increasingly able to feel a sense of safety in their lives and join the moment instead of needing to control it.

Neurodivergence
Autistic clients often describe their experience as one that includes both strengths and challenges. People with autism may have exceptional creativity, sensory strengths, or the ability to access deep learning on subjects of interest. They may also be better at rational decision-making than their friends, notice important details that others miss, or care deeply about fairness and authenticity.
At the same time, my clients often come to therapy seeking help with rumination, emotional or sensory overload, self-criticism, black-and-white thinking, difficulty adapting to change, and confusion around social dynamics.
While I don’t conduct autism assessments, I’ve worked with many autistic clients on skills to help with detaching from rumination, cultivating flexibility in thinking, communicating openly in relationships, aligning body language with their intent, gradually embracing change, and learning to soothe their nervous system.

Perfectionism
My clients who struggle with perfectionism are thoughtful, intelligent people who are committed to reaching their potential, avoiding negatively impacting others, and preventing problems before they arise. Yet can we have too much of a good thing? The self-control it takes to keep this up can be exhausting, and it can impair our natural ability to express ourselves, connect to others, or explore new ways of being that might make us happier.
Radically Open Dialectical Behavior Therapy (RO-DBT) is an evidence-based approach we’ll use to help you bring balance to high performance. Over time, my clients report feeling increasingly secure in themselves and more able to embrace spontaneity and authenticity when the situation calls for it.
